Small compass
So far I really like this little compass. It fits nicely in the Hard Case offered on the site. Offers a little better utility over the button compasses most people are using for it's role. I will be replacing the string it comes with for either a length of micro cord or kevlar line. Would be nice to see an upgrade as an ordering option.

Best Luminous Mini Base-plate Compass Available
This is one of the best mini backup compasses currently available. Accuracy is very good. The luminous markers work well and the compass card movement in the damping fluid is smooth and fast. No air pockets in the five examples I’ve seen and the capsule is large enough that small air pockets forming due to low temperature/altitude/age should not interfere with the rotating compass card. Although it’s tiny it can actually be used for map to ground and ground to map bearings using the rotating degrees bezel and there are cm and inch scales on the plastic base-plate. This is the compass used in the current British military pilot/Special Forces Individual Survival Kit Mk 4, except that version has a mils as opposed to a degrees bezel. Works well with the supplied lanyard or attached to a zipper. Highly recommended.
