    Excellent small survival compass

Posted by Ted on 4th Jun 2026

I’ve purchased these compasses before and have used them in my hollow handle survival knives. They’re the perfect size at 14mm, constructed of thick durable polycarbonate, they’re spot on with finding magnetic north, and are luminous. When charged, the lume is super bright for a while, but as with all lume will dim over the course of an hour. The final selling point for me is the amazing price. Product is as good as the expensive products at a lower price and more compact size.

    Excellent Buttkn Compass

One of the only button compasses out there that actually holds true to North. Will be putting one through the wash for an experiment.

Decent Compass When Space is Tight

Posted by J Smith on 3rd May 2022

While standard button compass are 20mm, this 14mm gives you greater hideability. Basic 4 direction compass, and list most button compass you'll want to shake it gently several times to see which way it points north most often.

    14mm Luminous Button Compass

Posted by D Corrigan on 26th Mar 2014

Tested on Dartmoor, England in late winter. Accurate. Smooth movement of compass card in fluid. No bubbles formed in the fluid, even in cold conditions. The luminous markers work well and gave a clear and unambiguous indication of direction in darkness. Overall, an excellent and inexpensive SERE compass.

    Best of its kind

You will be hard pressed to find one smaller and more accurate, tested in the jungles of south east asia against bigger suunto units and found superb.
